A Better Backup Camera Hood for VW ID.4

A Better Backup Camera Hood improves the backup camera's poor picture quality at night in all models of Volkswagen ID.4, ID.5, GTX, Skoda Enyak, Audi Q4 E-tron

The backup camera gets overwhelmed with bright light reflected from the license plate into the camera lens resulting in poor picture quality at night. A Better Backup Camera Hood effectively blocks the light allowing the backup camera to produce a quality picture.

It securely attaches to the backup camera housing with a big piece of VHB 3M tape.

What the camera hood DOES NOT DO:

- prevent rain from getting onto the camera lens

- keep the camera lens clean from dirt/snow

Printed on a high-end resin 3D printer and finished with a few coats of flat black paint to withstand the elements.

Installation:

- make sure to warm up a camera housing to 60F(15C) if you park your car outside

- clean the camera housing from loose dirt and dust

- using included alcohol prep pad clean the camera housing, and let the alcohol dry

- practice “dry fit” a couple of times, make sure A Better Camera Hood sits tight, and do not use too much force, you may break it

- carefully peel off the backing paper from the tape

- attach the camera hood to the backup camera housing, and keep gentle pressure on the area where the tape is for about 20-40 seconds to assure good adhesion.

- do not disturb the camera hood for 48-72h

ATTENTION: the tape allows only one attempt. If you put it on and had to remove it due to whatever reason, you NEED to get a new piece of tape, otherwise camera hood will fall off.
